Maeve Obeirne

Press Officer for the European Commission

Maeve O’Beirne is the press officer of the European Commission’s Washington Delegation. She has also served as principal speechwriter for several of the delegation’s top envoys in Washington.

Ms. O’Beirne holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.A. in German and Italian studies from Trinity College Dublin. She is a native of Sligo, Ireland, and returns there frequently to indulge her photography hobby.
